The Parkview Gardens Association:

•Buys and renovates abandoned or rundown buildings

•Pays for brighter, more energy efficient streetlights

•Helps sponsor recreational and tutorial programs for neighborhood youth

•Provides decorative flower and shrub beds

•Sponsors community vegetable gardens

•Mails a monthly newsletter to all members and residents

•Provides renewable college and technical school scholarships for neighborhood high school graduates

•Supports police in various crime prevention programs, such as police dog, bicycle patrol.


Anyone who owns property, operates a business, or lives in the area is welcome to join PGA. Dues are $25 a year. For property owners, the PGA provides assistance with screening of potential tenants and provides a copy of the new book "Parkview Gardens: It's Rise and Fall and Rise" by David Linzee.
